Designed as a weekend retreat to be used as a timeshare among several families, each floor was made to accommodate sleeping quarters for a family or to allow adults on one level and children on the other. The main living and eating level was placed on the second floor to take advantage of views toward the ocean from that elevation, with an even higher observation deck created within the roof structure to allow access to panoramic views. Bedroom windows were minimized to screen views in from neighboring structures just feet away at the lower level, with cathedral ceilings and high windows at the upper level bringing in natural light.
